| General Revenue Services |

As mentioned, to enroll in a Medicaid Waiver Program, one must be eligible and must be on a statewide interest (waiting) list long enough to get to the top of the list. When an individual is
enrolled in a waiver, it pays for all authorized services. In its role as a Mental Retardation Authority, Texans receives funding from the state to provide "General Revenue Services." General
Revenue Services are available to eligible individuals waiting for enrollment into a waiver program and individuals who are ineligible for waiver services.

| Who Is Eligible for General Revenue Services? |
|
To be eligible for these services, an individual must be diagnosed with mental retardation or with pervasive developmental disabilities (autism spectrum disorder).
|
|
| How Are General Revenue Services Funded? |
|
These services are funded by the state and allocated to individuals on an ability-to-pay basis. Some charges may be incurred depending on family income (for children) and a client's potential
income (for adults).

| What Services Are Available through General Revenue? |
With the exception of residential and dental services, all of the services outlined in the Medicaid Waiver section may be available. Behavioral support services offered through the Behavior
Treatment and Training Center are also available. Due to funding constraints in some service areas, the amount of services is generally more limited than that which is available in the
waivers.
In addition, adaptive aids, minor home modifications and specialized therapies are available through the In-Home and Family Support Programs described elsewhere.
Finally, eligible individuals will be assisted in securing service and support through community resources other than Texana.
