Behavioral Healthcare Services
Approximately 1 in 5 Americans is affected by a mental illness. This can occur in anyone, regardless of race, gender, age or socioeconomic status. Scientific study of the brain and behavior has led to new and very effective treatments for people with mental illness.

Texana Center’s Behavioral Healthcare Services can help those suffering with a mental illness, to plan a new course for their life, one which leads to increased well-being and growth. Our many locations offer a variety of behavioral healthcare treatment options for adults, adolescents and children. Treatment is based on an outpatient setting within the communities that we serve. Our goal is to promote stabilization and empower individuals to increase their success in leading functional and productive lives within their communities, in the workplace or at home.

The individuals Texana is able to serve and the services they are able to receive depend on the eligibility criteria of the specific funding source used to pay for the services. Texana accepts private insurance managed care plans as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and individuals with no funding source. Texana contracts with the Department of State Health Services to provide services to individuals with no other funding source.

“The state of Texas ranks 47th in what it allocates for mental health care. It’s no wonder patients like Wanda Clark
often end up living in a county park.”
