As businesses begin to reopen and find their way during this time, Texana Center is continuing to be here for the populations we serve.

Our Texana Learning Centers for adults with intellectual disabilities will remain closed thru June 30, 2020. For questions regarding Texana Learning Center closures, please contact Manuel Lopez Jr. at 281-238-1753.
The Texana Children’s Center for Autism (CCA), Behavior Improvement Center, and other specialized treatment programs will be gradually opening to serve children face-to-face at our Sugar Land and Rosenberg locations as well as in-home services beginning June 1, with distancing, personal protective equipment, and many safety protocols in place. The CCA, BIC, Behavior Stabilization team (BeST), and Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) programs will also continue maximizing telehealth and other treatment options. Because Texana Center serves such a vulnerable population, the decision has been made to keep the temporary closures of our Children’s Center for Autism and our Texana Learning Centers extended until the end of May. We are hoping to be able to reopen these programs on June 1, 2020.

Texana has extended the temporary closures of our Children’s Center for Autism and our Texana Learning Centers through Friday, May 15, 2020.
If your child is a current client of any of our autism programs or early childhood intervention programs, please reach out to your BCBA or Intervention Specialist as we are offering several telehealth/virtual options for treatment until we are able to once again have the children back in our buildings.

As we continue to follow the guidelines of our local health officials, our State Governor and the CDC, Texana Center has extended the closures of our autism programs and our learning centers for adults with IDD through May 1, 2020 in an effort to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. As the COVID-19 continues to be an evolving situation day by day, Texana is modifying our operations accordingly. As we have previously stated, we did make the tough decision to temporarily close several of our autism programs and our learning centers for adults with IDD due to the CDC recommended guideline of no large gatherings. The health and safety of all of the clients we serve as well as our employees/families are our top concern. We realize that Texana Center is a part of the fabric of the critical safety net for our community and we serve many vulnerable populations that will continue to need our services during this critical time. Now more than ever, it is important that we all do our part to help stop the spread and follow CDC and state and local health department guidelines.
