H-E-B Tournament of Champions is donating $4,000 to add creative play centers to the Children’s Center for Autism. The gift will benefit the Texana Bridge Program, integrated preschool classes serving children with and without autism in Rosenberg and Sugar Land. The play centers will facilitate imaginative play and relationship building for all of the children in each class. The materials fill a specific gap for children with autism who often tend to play alone and need extra support to establish creative play habits.
“The items the classes will receive have been specifically chosen by our Behavior Analysts to help develop social skills, stimulate imaginative play, and close learning gaps” says Ellen Rhoads, Manager of the Children’s Center for Autism.
“We are so grateful for H-E-B’s support that enables us to provide an optimal environment for early learning for children with autism and their friends.”
