Texana provides rehabilitation services to assist a person with a developmental disability, who has experienced a brain injury, with regaining or improving cognitive functioning. The person/family must be enrolled in the Texana Center Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) or Texas Home Living (TxHmL) Provider program and maintain Medicaid benefits. A person enrolled in the Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Program has $2,000 annually to pay for dental services. The person/family can choose their dental provider. The dental provider must meet specific credentialing requirements prior to performing dental services.  Any costs exceeding $2,000 is the responsibility of the person/family. The person/family must be enrolled in the Texana Center Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Provider program and maintain Medicaid benefits.

Texana provides day services at our five Learning Centers located throughout our six county coverage area.  Our Learning Centers provide continuing education in skills training, support with activities of daily living, health and wellness services, training in socialization and communication skills to people with developmental disabilities. They also assist people with participation in integrated community activities. Texana’s Learning Center are located in Eagle Lake, El Campo, Missouri City, Rosenberg, and Wharton. Maintaining health is essential and here at Texana Center we make it a priority. Our nursing team is here to assist a person and/or their family in maintaining their health.  These services range from having a Registered Nurse complete a Comprehensive Nursing Assessment to assess the person’s health needs and developing a service plan to meet those needs, to providing consultation and support to the person’s caregiver(s) who are able to manage their health needs. خانه های گروهی: Texana Center operates group homes for people who wish to live in the community. The homes are owned or leased by Texana Center.  Each person has their own room and there are no more than four residents in the home. Texana Center provides staff to support the individuals in the home to assist with self-care needs, medical needs, behavioral needs, and preparation of meals.

These services are provided through a licensed provider who meets specific credentialing and is contracted with Texana Center.  The person/family has access to these services in order to address documented needs. Services include: Audiology Services, Dietary Services, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy.

Transition Assistance Services provides a person with a developmental disability, living in a nursing facility or state supported living center, who has enrolled in the Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Program with funds to assist them with setting up their own home in the community or seeking group home placement. If the person is establishing their own residence in the community, they have access up to $2,500 (lifetime amount) to purchase items for their home.
