The Children’s Center for Autism is a Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved non-public school site. As a result, school districts have the opportunity to refer students to the Children’s Center for Autism as an alternative placement to provide assessment, program development and staff training. A major goal is to teach each child how to learn and interact in a less restrictive, more natural school environment. Inclusion opportunities with the public school can be supported with our staff as arranged by each individual’s local school district. Extensive staff training is then offered to the school staff as part of the client’s transition back into the school setting.
