Clients from the Crisis Center Create Uplifting Artwork to Honor Lives Lost to Suicide and Inspire Hope During Suicide Prevention Month
(ROSENBERG, TX.) – In honor of Suicide Prevention Month, several of our clients from the Crisis Center participated in an art project to recognize the lives lost to suicide and to create a sense of hope for those struggling with mental health challenges.
This creative activity served as a therapeutic and empowering outlet, allowing clients to express their emotions, reflect on their journeys, and connect with others through shared experiences. It also reinforced the message that mental health recovery is nonlinear, filled with ups and downs, but always possible. Through art, clients not only found healing but also offered encouragement to others walking a similar path.
The Crisis Center provides support for adults experiencing a mental health crisis. Our services include:
- Crisis Residential Unit (CRU): A short-term, voluntary mental health stabilization program for adults who are not at immediate risk of harm. The CRU helps individuals safely transition back into the community with a renewed focus on recovery and wellness.
- Extended Observation Unit (EOU): A secure unit offering emergency psychiatric stabilization and assessment in a closely supervised setting. Staffed with psychiatric nursing and clinical care, the EOU provides critical support for individuals in crisis, though it is not designed for managing aggressive or severely psychotic behavior.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember help is always available. You can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, for free, confidential support.
