Fort Bend Junior Service League Supports Texana Café with a Generous Check from Sugar Plum Market
(SUGAR LAND, TX.) – Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) raised $317,000 through the Sugar Plum Market (SPM). FBJSL announced on Wednesday that Texana Center was awarded a $17,000 grant, which will directly benefit the Texana Café in Fulshear.
This grant will allow Texana to award scholarships to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities to attend classes at our Center for Advancement, as well as purchase new Microsoft Surface devices to support learning and skill development.
The Sugar Plum Market is a wonderful way to give back to local nonprofits and organizations in Fort Bend County by supporting local vendors and booths. Each year, people from across the Greater Houston area visit the market to purchase holiday gifts for friends and family, often without realizing they are also making a meaningful impact on organizations that help keep our community strong.
We extend our sincere thanks to Fort Bend Junior Service League and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital for the incredible work you do to keep this market thriving and to support such a worthy cause. We are deeply grateful and excited to see the positive impact this generous donation will have on our organization.
