Children’s Center for Autism Announces Operational Changes at Sugar Land Location
(SUGAR LAND, TX.) –Following careful consideration of organizational needs, Texana Center has made the decision to discontinue services at the Children’s Center for Autism (CCA) Sugar Land location, effective immediately at the end of July.
The operational changes are part of Texana Center’s ongoing efforts to better align resources while continuing to provide high quality autism services to children and families across our catchment areas.
To ensure continuity of care, all families currently receiving services at the Sugar Land location have been directly notified and offered the opportunity to transfer to either the CCA Rosenberg or CCA Fulshear location. All staff members have been offered positions at one of the two locations to support a seamless transition for both employees and the families we serve.
“Our priority throughout this transition is to minimize disruption for the children and families we serve while retaining our talented staff and maintaining the high quality of services that Texana is known for,” Kate Johnson-Patagoc, Director of Specialized Services said.
Leadership at the Rosenberg and Fulshear centers will oversee the transition and continue to support families throughout the process. In the meantime, Texana Center is recruiting an Operations Supervisor to oversee the Children’s Center for Autism day-to-day non-clinical operations, with an announcement to be made once the position is filled.
