Texana Center provides residential options for people with developmental disabilities who want to live in the community. The person/family must be enrolled in the Texana Center Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Provider program and maintain Medicaid benefits.
Texana Center operates group homes for people who wish to live in the community. The homes are owned or leased by Texana Center. Each person has their own room and there are no more than four residents in the home. Texana Center provides staff to support the individuals in the home to assist with self-care needs, medical needs, behavioral needs, and preparation of meals.
Texana Center contracts with family and non-family providers to provide a living space in their home for a person with a developmental disability and to assist the person with self-care needs, medical needs, behavioral needs, and preparation of meals.
